So, as we got there (Sept 5th) we had to be quarantined for 2 weeks. It was a good time to get to know the team better (and for me to get through the Jet Lag).

We started doing some ministry trainings with our team. Morning calls at 9-ish am aren't the best idea (ha-ha).

But even during this time God had showed us who are people in our team. I saw love and brave in those people. But the most important thing, hat I saw, was that they love Jesus. It was the most important for me, because we can serve others when we don't have relationships with God.

And as we're living by ourselves, we had to make up some lists like grocery shopping list. It wasn't easy to get food for 6 people (especially when you don't know how much and what do they eat). We're still working on it:) Now I just want to share a bit about our housing. Girls live in one apartment, and guys in another (which is 2 blocks far from us).

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, and a living room with kitchen. Hannah and I are roommates, Esther lives with Dani. I'm glad that we get along together so well.

I was praying a lot about our team, and I'm thankful that God gave me exactly this team. They are very open, even for learning some Russian words or trying Russian food (I'm gonna make Borsh Tuesday night, should be fun).

Our quarantine ended on Sept 18th. That evening we had the Fall Retreat for the weekends. We finally could meet up with students! It was good to just see how students are open to Cru staff. Saturday morning we had a part for Christians. There were worship, and a word about how can we live the christian life in a secular world. Speaking of Worship, we took a part in it. Sully and I were playing guitars and sining song. First 4 songs went well. Then we were listening to the speakers. And then (after an hour-ish) we needed to play 2 more songs. But because it was raining, we were very cold, so we had to play with frozen fingers. After the lunch, we had a photo hunter game. It was nice to get to know the city more. We found more funny places, and made lots of interesting photos (I hope we can get them soon).

Other wise, it was just a good time to spend with the team, our team leaders, and students from the UM. (I also got to talk a bit with two students, who has major in Russian language!).

And now I just want you to pray for us, that we can be more friendly for the students, and for the students to be open more in learning Jesus while we're here.
